Anyone may request a Mass to be said for a deceased family member or friend. Intentions are printed weekly in the church bulletin. Intentions are not accepted for Good Friday as there is no Mass. Please request only one Mass Intention per week (Monday-Sunday) for each deceased and please note that Mass intentions cannot be taken over the phone. If you wish the name of the deceased or the special intention request to appear in the bulletin, the information must be in the office at least 12 business days before the date you are requesting. If you wish confirmation of your intention, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the form.
From the beginning the Church has honored the memory of the dead and offered prayers in suffrage for them, above all the Eucharistic sacrifice, so that, thus purified, they may attain the beatific vision of God. The Church also commends almsgiving, indulgences, and works of penance undertaken on behalf of the dead.
